Robert Allenby

Australian Robert Allenby has had an amazing professional golf career having had 4 PGA TOUR and 16 international wins, proving that even a broken sternum that he suffered in 1996 couldn’t keep him down.. His career got off to a blistering start in 1992 on the PGA TOUR of Australasia when he finished at the top of the Order of Merit in his rookie season, and then again in 1994. Allenby qualified for the U.S. PGA TOUR for the 1999 season after finishing 17th in qualifying school and still plays primarily in the U.S.

2008 and 2009 were both some of Allenby’s best playing years, despite not having a win. In the 28 events he played in 2008, he made the cut in 27 of them, 17 of which were top 25 finishes. This strong performance earned him a 27th year end position in the Official World Golf Rankings and 19th in the FedEx Cup points clearly making 2008 Allenby’s best performing year on the PGA TOUR. Allenby finished the 2009 season 21st in the Official World Golf Rankings and 43rd in FedEx Cup points. The Honda Classic has consistently been one of Allenby’s best venues with three consecutive top 10 finishes thru 2009.

Aussie golfer Allenby has already been on fire this PGA TOUR 2010 season with two top 10 finishes in three starts, including a second place finish at the Sony Open. He currently ranks 14th in the world and 7th in the FedEx Cup standing. Allenby is not only an amazingly talented golfer, his has an incredibly huge heart for charity. In addition to being a supporter of Caddy For A Cure, Allenby is a patron and spokesperson for Challenge Cancer Support Network, helping to raise money for children with cancer and blood disorders.
