Following a successful collegiate golf career at University of North Carolina where he was a 2-time ACC performer. Wisconsin native Mark Wilson has been playing professional golf since 1997. Having cited Ben Hogan as his hero, it was very fitting that Wilson won the coveted Ben Hogan award in 1996 as the top NCAA student golfer in the country.

Wilson has consistently proved his stellar playing ability coming up through the Hooters, PGA TOUR of Australasia and Nationwide Tours until posting his first PGA TOUR victory in 2007 at the Honda Classic. Although all victories are sweet on the PGA TOUR, the 2007 Honda Classic was especially exciting where Wilson ultimately triumphed on the fourth extra hole in a four-way playoff after being tied with José Cóceres, Camilo Villegas and Boo Weekley at 5 under par. This victory lifted Wilson into the top 100 of the Official World Golf Rankings for the first time. He added his second PGA TOUR victory in 2009 when he won the Mayakoba Golf Classic at Riviera Maya, holding off J. J. Henry by two shots.

Wilson has a huge heart for charity as demonstrated by his generous gift to the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer Fund in 2006 and he continues to give back from his sport by supporting the Blessings in a BackPack program with his wife, Amy, and now as a first-timer with the Caddy For A Cure program.
