Picking Brian Gay out on the golf course is easy – look for a player who is wearing neo-modern apparel, has a highlighted coif, and if he hasn’t stuck his approach shot ridiculously close to the pin, he’s draining it from anywhere on the green.
Gay has been playing and competing in professional golf since 1994 following a successful golf career at University of Florida where he was a member of the national championship team in 1993. His first PGA TOUR win came at the Myakoba Golf Classic in 2008 during which he also had a runner-up finish at the Viking Classic, making a total of six top 10 finishes during the year. He followed up 2008 with two wins during the 2009 season, including at the 2009 Verizon Heritage, catapaulting him to 41st in the official world golf rankings, 21st in FedEx Cup points and 13th on the PGA TOUR money list.
Although Gay has had Tour caddy, Kip Henley, on his bag for several years now, he at one time had Steve Duplantis working with him following Steve’s split with Rich Beem. His mainstay during his entire golf career, however, has been his wife, Kimberly, who has been his caddy, spokesperson, travel partner and cheerleader. Despite Gay’s somewhat cool appearance, he is a fierce competitor with amazing talent and he LOVES to celebrate his wins. Join reigning Verizon champion for an incredible day inside the ropes. You won’t regret it!
