Florida native and Seminole resident, Brittany Lincicome, began playing golf at the age of 9, quickly showing impressive skills by winning her first amateur event that same year. Lincicome continued her quick start in the sport for a successful junior golf career and ultimately earned her full LPGA exempt status for the 2005 season at age 19 from a T20 finish at Final Qualifying School.
After earning the reputation and title as the LPGA Tour long driver in her rookie year, Lincicome posted her first Tour win at age 20 in 2006 at the HSBC Women’s World Match Play Championship defeating veterans Michele Redman, Brandie Burton, Kyeong Bae, Michele Wie, Lorena Ochoa, and Juli Inkster along the way. Her long length and accurate short game has enabled Lincicome to keep her full exempt Tour status since 2005 and has included two additional and impressive wins: the 2007 Ginn OPEN followed by her first major championship win at the 2009 Kraft Nabisco Championship.
Given Brittany’s impressive length, combined with her demonstrated ability to win, you can be sure to see her hoisting many victory trophies in the future.
